GATE- the war memorial raised in memory of Indian soldiers killed in
World War I, RASHTRAPATI BHAWAN- The official residence of the President
of India, JANTAR MANTAR- an astronomic observatory built by Maharaja
of Jaipur in 1724, QUTAB MINAR- this tower built to celebrate the
victory of Mohammed Ghori over the Rajputs the splendid RED FORT and the
majestic JAMA MASJID with its striped domes and tall minarets, sightseeing
also includes RAJ GHAT, MUSEUM, LOTUS TEMPLE, the
circular PARLIAMENT HOUSE. Delhi is a marvelous place for shopping
so don’t forget to visit its bazaars like CONNAUGHT CIRCUS, JANPATH,
CHANDNI CHOWK.
From here start the famous Golden Triangle Trail on the Agra and Jaipur routes. At Agra visit the famous monument of Love the TAJ MAHAL "Sheer poetry in the marble". Majesty and magnificence's unraveled. Visit the AGRA FORT, a massive structure on the banks of Yamuna River. Explore through the deserted city of FATEHPUR SIKRI perfectly preserved and built by Akbar in Red Sandstone.
Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, is also referred to as the "Pink City". Here one can visit the Jantar Mantar, City Palace, Chandra Mahal, Jai Mahal and don’t forget to visit the most famous Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds, along the main street of the old city. You can stay in one of the many Palaces or Mansions converted into hotels and when visiting Amber Fort be sure to ride on elephant up the hill to the fort.
Beyond Jaipur other places not to be missed are: UDAIPUR, CHITTARUGARH, JAISALMER, AJMER and JODHPUR. Enjoy the beauty of the desert on a camel safari; pass through the beautiful colorful villages in the desert.
Heading for the hills? There is an entire panorama of magical retreat for a visitor along the Himalayan Ranges. Visit the paradise on this earth ….. Kashmir and enjoy your stay in one of the Luxurious houseboats situated in Dal Lake and Nagin Lake. While your visit to Kashmir don’t forget to visit Gulmarg, Pahalgam, Sonamarg and the Famous Mughal Gardens, take a ride in a Shikara (Gondla) and explore the lake. Madhya Pradesh means the central province. This is a large State stretching our in different directions to share boundaries with seven States all around it - Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Orissa, Andra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujrat and Rajasthan. Places of interest in this State can be reached from any direction, for this is the central region of India. Madhaya Pradesh has an entire range of new experiences for you - medieval cities like Gwalior, Orchha, Mandu, marvelously carved temples at Khajuraho.
Uttar Pradesh lies below the two northern states Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. Uttar Pradesh is a state of great diversities. The mighty Himalayan ranges dominate its northwestern region, making it a most picturesque mountain land with a number of popular hill stations dotting the area. Lucknow is the capital of Uttar Pradesh. We will start the tour of Uttar Pradesh by first following the towns and cities along the Ganga and Yamuna, two great rivers of the State, GANGOTRI, YAMUNOTRI, RISHIKESH, HARIDWAR, ALLAHABAD, VARANASI, here to mention that the famous Taj Mahal (Agra) lies in the heart of Uttar Pradesh as mentioned above in the Golden Triangle Circuit.
